Skillshare International Ireland

Skillshare International Ireland is part of the Skillshare International family and was established in 2003 to build on Skillshare International's strong working relationship with the Irish government's development programmes over 20 years.

We work in partnership with locally-based non-governmental organisations (NGOs), community organisations, networks and government bodies to enable them to achieve their vision and facilitate broader social change in their own communities. We have a range of practical ways in which we do this:

• the placement of international development workers with our partner organisations
• financial support for projects
• building the capacity of our partners to access financial resources
• enabling our partners to network and share information and best practice
• developing the strategic leadership skills of our partner organisations
• enabling our partners to participate in policy and advocacy activities for positive change

Vision

Our vision is of a world without poverty, injustice and inequality where people, regardless of cultural, social and political divides, come together for mutual benefit, living in peaceful co-existence.

Purpose

We work to reduce poverty, injustice and inequality and to further economic and social development in partnership with people and communities throughout the world. We do this by sharing and developing skills and ideas, facilitating organisational and social change and building awareness of development issues.
